A native of Fort Thomas, Kentucky, Emily earned her B.F.A. in Performing Arts from Eastern Kentucky University 2001, and has had the privilege of living her life as a professional actor ever since. With more than 15 years working in musical theatre, Emily’s stage credits include roles for the Walt Disney World Entertainment, Childrens’ Theatre of Cincinnati, The Human Race theatre, and a stint on the Delta Queen as the “Red Hot Mamma.”
Local directorial credits include Indian Hill Middle School’s productions of Mulan Jr. and Schoolhouse Rock Live Jr. She also directed Fort Thomas School’s summer middle school productions of Willy Wonka and their regional premiere of Flat Stanley Jr.
When Amanda isn’t prancing around her elementary classroom, you can usually find her frolicking near a stage. Amanda has over 18 years of theatrical experience as a director, choreographer and performer at both the college, community, and professional level. She received a bachelor and master’s degree in education from Northern Kentucky University with an emphasis on arts and humanities. She currently teaches for Boone County schools and works with several theatres and schools in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas. Amanda was born and raised in the Cincinnati area and lives in Erlanger with Kyle and their two dogs Kimbo and Dexter. Amanda is a strong supporter of Arts Education in the area, working with several youth organizations and dance/prep studios. She currently serves as the Administrative Director for Union Community Theatre and as the Assistant Treasurer for Footlighters, Inc.
